We are a passionate group of volunteers, who donate their time and open their homes to our rescues. Since its inception in 2002, we have become a leading Maremma rescue group in Australia. We are based in Victoria with foster families throughout the state.
We rescue abandoned, abused and neglected Maremma sheepdogs from council pounds and animal shelters. We also accept dogs directly from owners in Victoria and Tasmania.
Wherever our rescues have come from, they are usually lovely dogs. Providing the new owner understands the breed and has the time to help during transition, our rescue dogs adapt extremely well to a new family and environment.
The ideal home for most of our dogs is a property with small acreage, where the dog can be a family companion and a farm guardian animal.
